34Designed is a community-centered brand rooted in creativity, family, and connection. What began as a personal creative outlet during a challenging season of my life grew into a business shaped by love, loss, and the joy of everyday moments. Each design starts as an illustration, created with intention and inspired by the people and places that matter most to me — especially families, kids, and the Chicagoland communities I call home.

Becoming an aunt deeply influenced my work. My nieces and nephews remind me to see the world with curiosity, humor, and warmth, and many of my designs are inspired by the simple magic of childhood. I love creating pieces that feel playful yet meaningful — items that become part of real life, whether that’s a first outfit for a newborn, a gift from a grandparent, or something worn and loved through everyday moments.

The name 34Designed holds special meaning for me. The number 34 is connected to my brother, who passed away in 2018 and was deeply creative. This brand is a quiet tribute to him and a reminder that creativity can be a way to carry love and legacy forward.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is getting to be part of families’ firsts. Early on, I met a couple who had just welcomed their baby and were out with their newborn for the first time. I gifted them a onesie simply because I felt honored to share that moment. They’re still customers today, and I’ve loved watching their child grow. That experience inspired a tradition I continue at every market — finding a new or expecting family and gifting them something made with love.

What is the story behind 34Designed?

The number 34 holds special meaning for me and is connected to my brother, who passed away in 2018 and was deeply creative. I think of him as my angel, and over time the number came to represent creativity, resilience, and trusting your path forward. “Designed” reflects the creative work at the heart of what I do. Together, 34Designed is a tribute to my brother, my family, and the belief that creativity can carry love and legacy forward.
